Frequently Asked Questions

How to Identify The Real Acrylic?

Most companies claimed that using acrylic, but many of them actually use plastic instead of “acrylic’. How to identify the real acrylic? As professionals, we are happy to share with you the difference between acrylic and plastic:

1, Material and Price are different:  Acrylic is lightweight, strong, and durable and is resistant to impact, weather, and UV radiation. It also has good optical clarity and can be easily molded into various shapes. Acrylics can be referred to as organic glass since the material is made using plastic injection or extrusion. The price is therefore high. Plastic is a high polymer compound made up of resin, stabilizers, lubricants, and other materials, and the price is therefore low.

2, Appearances are different:  Highly transparent acrylic products are more transparent than glass. Due to their stable quality and resistance to sunlight, outdoor lamps and lanterns are especially suited to plastic. Plastic is not an adequate substitute, as it has a dark, heavy color that makes it unsuitable for lamps and lanterns, particularly outdoor ones. After six months, there will be a tendency for cracks and yellow in them.

3, Gloss and smoothness are different:  Acrylic products offer excellent gloss and smoothness, whereas plastic ones do not.

4, The intensity is different:  Acrylic has high strength, is not easy to deform, and does not crack or break easily. However, the plastic is relatively weak and easy to bend, making it unsuitable for high-intensity applications.

Our high-quality acrylic is specially treated with ultraviolet inhibitors and antioxidants, which is very durable and stable when exposed to environmental conditions.

What are The Crystals Hanging From a Chandelier Called?

Crystals hanging from a chandelier can be called pendeloques, pendants, or drops. These crystals can be cut and polished in a variety of shapes and sizes. They often form a larger pattern when put together.

What is The Difference Between Crystal and Glass Chandeliers?

The difference between crystal and glass chandeliers has to do with the material of the pendants. Glass is melted sand. Pendants made from glass are clear, light, and bright.

Crystal is a structured mineral that is also clear and bright. Crystal pendants are often infused with lead, which makes them heavier—but still clear. Lead provides the crystal with greater light refraction, resulting in a dazzling array of color and light.

Crystal and glass both make great chandelier pendants, but with our crystal droplet chandelier, you get one major perk: extra sparkle.

What Makes a Nordic Chandelier Different?

The Nordic countries are beautiful places. But their climates are harsh. During the wintertime, nights are very long and dark, days are short and it is cold. These are places where there is a premium placed on practicality. That means that stylistic elements were usually simple, subdued, and without frills. That doesn’t mean that style and elegance can’t play a role. It simply means that these elements are woven into the practical elements of things.

Are Crystal Chandeliers Out of Style?

Nope, and they probably never will be for a couple of reasons. First, since crystals are perfect for reflecting light elegantly, they illuminate a room in a very big way. Second, crystal is not a typical material in design outside of lighting (and even then it’s less common), so the eye is attracted to the piece’s beauty. Third, crystal lighting fixtures can blend with any interior style, and finally, luxury chandelier lighting adds a level of class to a room that few other lighting choices can.

Are Pendant Lights Good for Reading?

Pendant lights make great lamps. Lamps provide soft, nearby light, which is perfect for reading. For more evenly distributed lighting, use multiple lamps or other sources of light. This can reduce shadows and glare spots.
